WHO WE ARE...

Who is the Chief Cook & Bottle Washer at Body Mind & Soul?
 That would be me, Fran.

Welcome to this website, welcome to the awareness of oneness. Body Mind & Soul has been open now for almost 5 years. I was brought to this “biz” by way of a spiritual mentor and a most powerful book. Lets start with my most wonderful friend and mentor.

His name is Jim and he lives far away. I have never met Jim, and most likely will not, at least not in the human sense. But Jim made a major impact on my life. I believe our spirits have a deeper connection than what I first realized. I believe he and I connected for a very specific reason. It all started with surfing the web. I had developed an interest in drumming. I knew nothing (and still know very little) but it had caught my interest. I started surfing to see what I could see and learn.

I thought I had run across someone that was putting out a newsletter about drumming. I emailed him, asked a couple of questions and somehow we never got to the newsletter. At this point, some 3 plus years later, I'm not real sure there ever was a newsletter. When I emailed Jim he asked “do I know you”, I said “no” . But our spirits connected and we set out to get to know them. Jim, at that time, was a 67-year-old retired doctor from Oklahoma. He had had his own awakening a few years earlier and he was so awesome to talk with. We spent many nights IMing about drumming, spirituality, all the other processes of the universe that so many of us like to talk about. This wonderful computer relationship went on for many many months. I grew and he guided me in that growth. We talked a lot about spirituality and religion and the differences. We laughed, I cried, I grew.

Finally I met someone that could help me make sense of the questions I had had for oh….. so many years. You know the kind of questions don't you? We have all been plagued with them. It's those questions that have brought us to where we are now. Over the months my job had put a big strain on me and what I thought would be my future. But Jim helped me see that all things are as they are supposed to be, even if we don't like it.

Finally after several months Jim was ready for me to read Conversations With God by Neale Donald Walsch. He had been telling me for sometime that there was a book I needed to read, and now finally I was told “it was time”. I ran out and purchased the book, read it and now the rest is history. Let me lay the time grid out for you.

Here is how it went… January's end 2002 I finished reading Conversations With God. By that time I had made some decisions. I followed through with those decisions.
I quit my job in March of 2002.
I then started an accelerated Massage Therapy School in May 2002.
 Graduated in August 2002.
Opened Body Mind & Soul on September 9th 2002.……..
 And here I am. That's about it - for who and what I am.

I hope you find it sufficient reason or enticement to come and visit us here at Body Mind & Soul. There is an awesome community of people that come here. And it is “each” of these people that bring their spirits, their individual personalities and their love that make Body Mind & Soul what it is.
